    Check for updates

    If I enable the check for updates feature, I am greeted with an update error. "An error occurred in retrieving update information; are you connected to the internet? Please try again later." I am connected to the internet. Is this feature just not functional yet?

    Ah. this bug exists because there are, in fact, no updates. I will be trying an automatic update tonight, or tomorrow morning (GMT). We'll see what happens.
