Every time I try to open 'Preferences' menu on Filter ... Vista Home Premium, WMP

un/reinstall produces same results.  i also notice (mystified) that it never asks for my login info... i'm getting to be a pro at un/reinstalling Filter (cuz it's worth it) but it stopped asking who i am when i run it "the first time" ...  also, dunno if this is helpful:

well, microsoftupdate either took care of the problem, or i was doing something really dumb... i updated and rebooted, and it asked me to log in, and the error stopped.

it still requires my "approval" from Vista to run on startup, though, and i have never (in any Filter incarnation) seen any sort of pop-up or indicator that anything is happening.

also, how deep into a folder does Filter search for media files?  most of my music is 4 folders deep (my music/*genre*/*artist*/*album*/*title*).  should i start including each genre-folder, or artist-folder in my list to get a reaction out of Filter?

Hmm, you shouldn't get the Vista UAC prompt anymore; at least I thought I'd fixed it!

Can you go to the 'About' form and paste the contents of the version box for me please?

The catalogue scan will go as deep as it needs to when looking for music files.

Perhaps I'll add some catalogue scan feedback to a version soon :)
