i've downloaded the app and am running itunes to check it out.  what i find annoying, unless i'm doing something wrong, is that itunes continually popups every 30 sec or so.  i'm on yahoo checking email and it keeps popping up during the song ---- continuously --- extremely annoying --- especially since i'm sending emails.  why is this?  is it a setting?  i don't need popups telling me what song is playing, over and over again, especially since i'm quite familiar with my music.  otherwise great site so far

 i'm running win vista.  i like the idea of the app so i kept running it but itunes kept popping up continuously at about a 30 sec rate.  i pressed pause on itunes and still it kept popping up so i turned the filter app off in my nav tray.  now my itunes acts normal....no popups.  i really like the idea of the app so i'd like to get it to work.  suggestions?

Hmm, will have a look at this... sounds like iTunes reacting oddly to COM calls.

I've just been trying to reproduce this on Vista and I'm afraid I cannot.

I started by launching the Filter, then iTunes and setting a playlist playing.

After confirming that the Filter had spotted iTunes correctly running I minimised iTunes and started browsing the web (shhh though :P).

The only popup I saw was when the track changed and the play reported notification popped up next to the systray.

Can you please confirm the version of iTunes you are running, and perhaps some more information on what is popping up - I'm assuming you mean the iTunes application?

If you do not want the track play report notifications you can turn them off using the Filter's preferences form.

i am running itunes version 7.6.0.29.   this is what happens and i've tried it 3 times......itunes will continuously popup every 30 sec or so.  i tracked it on a 3 min velvet crush song and itunes popped up 5 times.  the whole itunes page popped up.  i did not get any "small" popup from my navigation bar on the bottom right like i thought i would and like itunes does when you scroll over the icon.  yes, i know that i can change the settings so the popups don't occur and that is what i've done but just letting you guys know that at least on my machine there is some type of syncing error between the apps.
