    Optimization?

I'm not sure if this is a browser issue or a coding issue (or both), but I feel like the site could be optimized for faster page loading times.  When I navigate back to the home page for instance, it seems like either it's not remembering the images loaded onto the browser or Flash is just lagging, I'm not sure.  Also, the rating slider will sometimes glitch out visually - by partially disappearing or not immediately updating along with my cursor (but continuing to work fine the whole time).  I'm running Firefox on a Mac, and I have the latest version of the Flash Player. Are these issues inherent to Flash, or is it possible to make that sort of thing more reliable?

Conversely, the player bar has worked flawlessly so far.

    Re: Optimization?

We are looking at optimising the page loads, and the front pages especially will get particualr attention. We have a concerted effort on this scheduled in for next week. Right now, when you go back to the home page we currently regenerate our recommendations, and this will change next week so they will only update once a day or if you refresh them manually. This should speed up the home page substantially.

I don't think we are aware of the Flash glitches you are getting. I will stick that into our bug system for someone to take a look at next week. If you can give any more detail on this problem it can only help.

     Thanks for your feedback
